This chest of drawers is very typical of the type rural New England cabinet makers were producing in the mid-18th Century. They were likely to be made from locally grown woods, such as Curly Maple and Cherry, both woods being very plentiful in New England. Our New England Chest of Drawers is perfectly proportioned with a nicely molded overhanging top, four graduated drawers and high bracket feet. Overall, this chest exemplifies the Colonial preference for "neat and plain", and its size makes it ideal for decorating either in today's homes or in an authentic Colonial setting. 33 1/3"H x 36"W x 19"D. NOTE: Any kit we offer that is $1000 or more will require a 30% deposit at the time of scheduling. This deposit is fully refundable until we begin cutting the kit. (If a kit has already been scheduled we will require the 30% deposit at the time of order. What this means is that if we do not have a tentative ship date we will not charge the deposit.) At the time we begin cutting the kit we will require an additional 30% deposit. At this time both deposits are non-refundable.
